Call for Applications for Post-Doctoral Fellowships

  Jonathan Shapira Fund for 2013-14

The Fund hereby invites applications for 2013-14 post-doctoral fellowships in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Tel Aviv University. Applications will be considered from persons holding a PhD degree from other universities only and who have been awarded the degree during the last 4 years. Candidates who will have submitted their doctoral dissertation no later than mid-August 2013 are also permitted to apply.

Persons awarded the fellowship must maintain residence in the Department during the fellowship year and must present their research work at the Departmental seminar or at  one of the Research Workshops.

Amount of the fellowship: NIS 68,000.

The Fund gives priority to applications in the research fields of the late Prof. Jonathan Shapira which include political sociology, democracy, civil equality and racism, and Israeli society. Nevertheless, the Fund encourages applications from candidates in other research fields.
